David A. Anderson, MD

Dr. David Anderson grew up in northwest Iowa and did his undergraduate training at a small liberal arts school in Indiana. He then returned to Iowa where he completed both medical school and residency training at the University of Iowa College of Medicine. In 2005, he came to Springfield and joined Ferrell Duncan Clinic. His interests have always been in the areas of urologic cancers and minimally invasive surgical options.

While in Iowa, Dr. Anderson trained under Dr. Howard Winfield, a leader in the world of laparoscopic urology, and also received advanced training on the DaVinci Robotic Surgery system during his residency. Research studies conducted by Dr. Anderson include both robotic and laparoscopic surgery. He was one of the first to perform a robotic prostatectomy, robotic nephrectomy, robotic cystectomy, and robotic pyeloplasty here in southwest Missouri at The Center for Robotic Surgery. Dr. Anderson is active in the Springfield community, and free time is spent with his wife and three small children.

Dr. Anderson serves on the Board of Directors of New Covenant Academy, a private christian school here in Springfield. When he isn't running to soccer games or gymnastics meets, he enjoys cycling, exercising, and on those very rare occasions when time permits a game of golf.
